Birthday gift

Last night at our blogger meetup, a couple of girls had nice cameras. I've been using a plain jane digital camera for years now, but I think it may be time for an upgrade. I can really see the difference between my camera photos and the photos from a nicer camera. My mother has a great camera, and even though she's technology challenged, her pictures always look great! My birthday isn't for a few more months, but I already know what I'm asking for!

For now, you'll just have to look at my grainy regular pictures! We went out to dinner at Coast and I snapped these

Maybe a new camera will help me figure out how to post pictures that are right side up! What are your preferences? Canon, Nikon?

  1. I recently got a Nikon D3000 and have been very happy with the photos. If you've never used an SLR I would recommend camera classes so you the most for your money.

  3. I'm so glad that I found your blog. It is wonderful. I've heard great things about the Canon Rebel. Right now I use a Canon Powershot. I like it, but I would really like an SLR (like the Rebel).

    Blogger meetups are so fun!

  4. I got a Nikon D3000 as an anniversary gift. i love it and it's easy to use. Go to Best Buy, or another camera store, where there will be an associate trained on the cameras. They should have a few demo ones for you to play with. i still use my digital point and shoot, but love the editing features of the SLR. good luck with your camera search and take care.

  5. Nikon is my preference. I just like the way they sound and how they are to hold.
